Heimatlos is the blog of Keza MacDonald, an Edinburgh-born writer currently living in London. I’ve lived and worked all over the world, from Berlin to Nagoya, Japan. I studied for my undergrad degree in German at the University of Edinburgh, and am currently researching for a postgrad degree in Comparative Literature at King’s College London.
I began professionally writing about video games at sixteen as a staff writer for gamesTM, and am now UK Games Editor at IGN. I also write on games for the Guardian, and am working on my first book about games. Previously I wrote mostly for Eurogamer, VG247 and The Observer, as well as contributing articles for magazines including Edge. I also work with various publishers and advertising agencies as a videogames consultant.
I collect languages, books and videogames, and have enough of them to scramble my brain. Contact me by leaving a comment, or emailing keza dot macdonald at gmail dot com.
